The Pearl Event Center to Begin Welcoming Guests in September
A brand new, downtown Fort Wayne event space is set to open for booking late this month.
The Pearl Event Center will be a true gem within the city, bringing people together from around the region for learning, collaboration, and celebration of life’s greatest moments.
Located inside The Pearl, directly across from The Bradley Hotel and within walking distance from multiple other downtown hotels, The Pearl Event Center occupies an ideal location for guests traveling both from out of town and within Fort Wayne.
The 4,500 sq ft space has the capacity to host gatherings of up to 300 people seated at tables or 400 people seated conference style. Guests can make use of a portable stage, free Wi-Fi, an overhead projector and retractable screen, wireless microphones, and easy connectivity to the AV system. Acoustic panels in the ceiling and walls offer exceptional sound control.
Balancing both upscale appeal and a welcoming atmosphere, the event space is perfect for corporate functions, class reunions, conferences, job fairs, holiday parties, seminars, and more. Unlike other downtown event spaces, The Pearl Event Center offers guests privacy and exclusive access to the space. They won’t have to share access with a different event down the hall.
Guests will enter at the corner of Maiden Lane and Main Street. The pre-function space, just inside the front doors, will serve as a convenient setting for conference registrations, cocktail hours, and more. Elegant, 20-foot-tall windows allow in bountiful natural light.
A catering kitchen prep area will be available for approved vendors to work out of and serve meals. Tables and chairs are available for various setups. A dedicated event planner will help with any and all planning needs.
Rob Evans, Manager of Hospitality and Events, brings with him decades of experience in senior positions for hotel and event center hospitality. “At The Pearl Event Center, we want to do everything we can to make organizing the perfect event simple and easy for our guests,” he said. “We follow the Surack Enterprises’ motto of ‘always do the right thing.’”
The Pearl is the passion project of local visionaries Chuck and Lisa Surack. It boasts 76 apartments, five live-work units, more than 12,000 sq ft of first-floor commercial space, and dozens of amenities. Residents of The Pearl will be eligible for discounted rates on reserving The Pearl Event Center.
